Love Sharing in the Time of Corona
April 2020
The Ilocos Norte work-force is in an indefinite standstill due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has struck our cities, the country and the rest of the global community. In an effort by the government to curb the rate of infection and ensure the safety of the general population, transportation and commerce has been reduced to bare necessities. These restrictions in movement have affected the daily wage-earner’s ability to provide for the day to day needs of their family and loved ones.
None more affected in this aspect were those who were already struggling even before the pandemic came; being stuck at home without physical and financial means of re-stocking food and other basic needs.
Now, more than ever, we do need to be part of the community and do our part to help each other.
In an effort to help our fellow Filipinos and Ilocanos in these trying times, the AVION BPO Corporation family, headed by our directors Von Ryan Nagasangan, Joy Nagasangan, and Norman Nagasangan, provided relief goods for the poor and in need.
The AVION team, wearing face masks, came door to door bringing groceries and other goods to the poor families locked down in their homes during the quarantine, providing a small amount of aid and comfort to areas that needed it most. These were distributed to selected areas of Laoag City and Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte.
The community is important to AVION BPO Corporation and we will continue to reach out and help, how small it may be.
